Over the past two weeks, Luis had the privilege of working with Mark Travis and his wife Elsha, helping them teach The Travis Technique to Griffith Film School students.
“They are the two most beautiful Hollywood superstars I’ve ever met.” He says. “So driven to make a difference, dedicated to telling stories and fearless.”
“The main goal of the Travis Technique is to make the actor and director fearless.” – Mark would say.
Q: How are you going to approach your acting differently?
A: “Never to stop or second guess myself. There is an OCEAN of endless possibilities. Feel the moment for the character and convince myself as the actor, this is who I am.”
During a conversation with Mark at lunch near South Bank, Brisbane about moving to LA one day, he simply looked at me and said, “Get on the plane, get off the plane.” Luis adds, “This is a moto I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”
“I’m so excited to see the changes in my work. Thank you, Mark and Elsha! The time I’ve spent with you have been life changing and I will never forget it.”
Mark writes…
“As a director and teacher, I look forward to working with Luis again because his insights into character and story make him a delight to work with. What else can a director ask for?”
